Inicio was founded in the debt collection sector, working with Debt Collection Agencies, Debt Buyers and Lenders to support a critical part of the customer journey.
Our solution integrates seamlessly into client CRM systems via API, or can operate as a standalone platform, with flexible export options to ensure affordability assessments can be easily incorporated into existing processes.
A key strength of the platform is that both agents and customers can complete the same assessment simultaneously. This enables agents to step in and support where needed, creating a more efficient and collaborative experience.
We understand that completing affordability assessments over the phone can take significant time — often 45 to 50 minutes. That’s why we work closely with our clients to increase the use of our virtual agent, helping customers complete assessments independently where appropriate. This reduces pressure on both the customer and the agent, freeing up valuable time for more meaningful conversations and solution-focused support.

Initially BPO Collections introduced Inicio’s affordability assessments on their website, enabling customers to complete income and expenditure assessments on a self-service basis.
This allowed customers to engage at a time that suited them, reducing reliance on agent-led conversations while ensuring consistent and accurate financial information was captured.
The solution was later extended to agents, enabling them to support customers through the same assessment journey where needed, creating a seamless and consistent experience across both digital and assisted channels.
